ShipShop requires an invoice to be included on the outside of any shipment crossing the U.S. border that meets any of the following conditions. Please note, this includes shipments with international destinations that transit through the U.S. Shipments with a retail value of $300 USD or greater may have their values verified at the U.S. border.
Collectibles (e.g. trading cards, comics, coins, etc.), vintage items or items with a market value that is difficult to verify must include an invoice for U.S. Customs verification. We are unable to accommodate shipments sent for the purpose of valuation such as the grading of sports cards. Shipments destined for Amazon Fulfillment centres must include a commercial invoice listing the retail value of all items.
For gifts, donations and documents entering the United States tax and duty free, a record of the purchase or transaction, such as an original sales receipt, would be accepted in the place of an invoice to confirm the value of the shipment. To ensure quick transit through customs checkpoints, we recommend including an invoice with all of your shipments, and providing an authentic sales invoice.
